See the visitor journey on every lead

Sense Forms exists to answer one question about every lead: where did this person come from, and what did they do before they reached out? Version 1.7.9 makes that answer more complete — and puts it right where you already read your leads.

The visitor journey, now on every entry

Sense Forms has always captured the path a visitor takes through your site. In 1.7.9, that path is visible on the submission itself.

Open any entry and you’ll find a new Visitor Journey card: the ordered list of pages the visitor viewed in the session that ended with their form submission, from the page they landed on to the moment they hit send. Alongside the traffic source, campaign, and device you already see, you now have the story of how the lead got to the form — not just where they started.

That’s the difference between knowing a lead came from an email campaign and seeing that they read your pricing page, then a case study, then filled out the form. One is a label. The other tells you what actually moved them.

Nothing new to switch on: if visitor tracking is enabled, the journey is already being recorded, and it now appears on each entry automatically.

A name field that fits the form

Not every form wants a first-and-last name split. Sometimes one clean “Full Name” box is exactly right; other times you genuinely need the two apart.

The Name field now does both. In the builder, choose the format per form — a single combined input, or separate first and last name fields — and the form, the submission, and the stored data all follow your choice. No workarounds, no dropping in a plain text box and losing the structure.

Reliability and setup, tightened

1.7.9 also smooths out the first-run experience: the setup wizard scrolls correctly on every screen size and browser, the final step opens the form you just created instead of a blank one, and a fix to how starter forms are created means a form built during setup is ready to submit and email from the very first entry. If any earlier form was affected, updating repairs it automatically — there’s nothing for you to rebuild.

How to get it

If you already run Sense Forms, update from Plugins → Updates in your WordPress admin — existing forms are carried over and repaired automatically. New to it? Install Sense Forms free from the WordPress.org directory.
